Huawei’s Mate 30 RS Porsche design is a massive hit to the luxury market. This is an even more premium version of the original handset, but with some boosted specs. It’s basically the same quad lens camera and that gorgeous wrop-around display.
One of the major changes with this Mate 30 RS Porsche model versus the standard Mate 30 Pro is the genuine leather backing, which won’t please vegans compared with the faux leather standard version. You get a strange ultra-long middle chassis for the camera rather than the circular affair, while the phone themes have also been customized.

Likewise, the specs have also been boosted just a little. So you get a 12GB RAM setup, plus 512GB of storage. Besides that, it’s business as usual. The Porsche Design Huawei Mate 30 RS serves up a gorgeous OLED screen, 4500mAh battery, plus EMUI 10 slapped on top of Android 10.
So are you tempted by this version of the Mate 30 Pro?
This rather funky design is mirrored on the display as well with a custom stripe you wallpaper admittedly looks pretty neat, and it does a pretty good job of hiding that notch up top as well.
And despite that proper leather finish, the font is apparently still water and dustproof. of course, you won’t want to go dunking it in proper waters that will likely spoil that lovely leather, and also Huawei didn’t confirm that it’s a full ip68 dust and water resistance.
Besides that design, you get pretty much the same specs and features as the standard Huawei Mate 30 Pro. so for instance, that display is a 6.53 inches OLED Rockin 2400 by 1176 resolution. It’s an 18.4:9 aspect ratio, and you have full support the DCI p3 HDR.

The Porsche Edition that made 30 supports Huawei’s acoustic designs, and there’s no earpiece up top, no volume key now on the side either is that display actually stretches around the edges to an almost 90-degree angle.
If you want to change the volume, all you need to do is double-tap the edge of that screen and then slide your finger up and down. It actually works surprisingly well, and I was really impressed by how smooth and reactive it was. It is even better than the likes of Sony’s side Center.
When it comes to the software, we can say that Mate 30 family comes with a bit of Android 10, specifically with Huawei’s new EMUI 10 launcher. Smothered, lovingly, and on the top of that, it added some new features such as a dark mode, and that all refreshed UI design.
The Chinese version as always did come with Huawei’s own App Store with no sign of the Google Play Store. fingers crossed that you will get the Google Play Store on the versions that come to the European markets, like the standard Mate 30 Pro.
You also get the Kirin 990 system-on-a-chip which is Huawei’s latest flagship platform; though, it is boosted by a mighty 12 gigabytes of RAM more than the standard 8GB that’s in the original Mate 30 Pro. And you also get a whopping 512GB of storage as well, and again this is defining boost over the standard model. BUY Huwei P30 Pro at Amazon.com
Huawei didn’t confirm whether or not this model would support 5G, but we expect it will, especially with that ridiculous 2095USD price. And like the standard Mate 30 Pro, the Porsche version also get the four lenses at camera tech slapped on the back and a SuperSensing camera.
The 40MP lens F/1.6 that’s backed by another 40MP, an ultra-wide cine camera F/1.8, and you also get a telephoto 8MP lens F/1.4 with built-in optical image stabilization, and a 3D depth sensor as well.
The full complement of Huawei’s usual camera features are slapped on board, as you got a pro mode, for instance, you’ve got your portrait mode, your night modes to take several different exposure shots and slap them all together for a nice brighter finish.
You can also shoot up to 4k 60fps footage with the selection of those lenses where you can do an ultra-wide or with the telephoto lens, and you shoot 4k HDR Plus time-lapse footage got a real-time bokeh option and next-gen active image stabilization as well.
So that’s the Huawei Mate 30 RS bit of a mouthful, and of course a bit of a wallet full as well, as that will cost you over 2000USD when it does virtually come to market .are you tempted by this crazy phone definitely let us know in the comments down below.
