Welcome to the review of Huawei P30 and P30 Pro the upgrade of P20 Pro last year shine. Now, it’s clear that Huawei have their own identity in the market, but this personality becomes more and stronger, after the launch of each new smartphone. So, now let’s get a closer look at the new P30 Pro and P30 from Huawei.

The top still the same as its predecessor P20 Pro with an IR blaster, which allows you to control various electronic devices in your home such as a TV. On the right side there is the volume rockers and power button on the left side, there is nothing at all. There is no earpiece at the top. This time, Huawei used an Electro-magnetic levitation technology.
There are two magnetic sticks behind the screen that vibrate to give you sound. This technology will help you hear better no matter where you ear is located on the top of the device. The P30 Pro is IP68 water and dust resistant, which means more protection against any accidental splashes or deep in water.
The CPU inside is the Kirin 980 with 8 cores and 7nm architecture. The RAM is 8GB and the onboard storage is 256GB and the battery is 4200mAh with support to ultra-fast charging.
The charger is 40W and it charges from 0% to 70% in 30 minutes. The charger comes in the box. The box also contains a cover for the device. It also comes with a charger, headset, USB-C cable and it supports reverse wireless charging. The device runs Android 9 with EMUI 9.1 and it also supports Dual NPU, meaning better processing and battery management. The camera also supports AI. P30 Pro supports two sim cards or a sim card and a Nano memory card. Putting the P30 Pro side-by-side with the P20 Pro, you will notice that both have the same DNA. Leica cooperation is still the same. And both devices are also developed. Huawei is doing their best to give us the latest technologies with reasonable prices. Hopefully, the competition between all companies will increase.
THE CAMERAS:
The front facing camera is 32MP. And there are huge developments from Huawei on the rear cameras. It has four rear cameras. The first one is 40MP with an F/1.6 aperture. This camera is a wide angle camera. This camera also features OIS and EIS. The second camera is Ultra-Wide 20MP with an F/2.2 aperture and it supports OIS and EIS. This technology uses RYYG technology instead of RGGB technology, making the camera recognize more colors. And it supports Hybrid zoom up to 10x, optical zoom up to 5x and digital zoom is up to 50x. You can see things that are 580m away from you. And we’ll go deep into the details in our next article, which will be specifically for the ‘’P30 Pro camera’’.
This camera also supports AI, where it recognizes what you are about to shoot. The forth camera is a ToF 3D camera. This camera helps in bokeh, portrait and depth in photos. You won’t directly use this camera, but it will enrich the performance of the other 3 cameras. These cameras take videos up to 60fps@4Kp, but there won’t be OIS involved. I will review this later. The camera supports lots of photography modes. You can download lots of modes to be used with the P30 Pro cameras.

The P30 Pro have 4 rear cameras. A wide angle, ultra-wide angle and the 8MP RYYG camera that features lots of technologies. It also has the ToF camera. The wide angle camera, can show more things in the frame whether for photos or videos and zoom up to 500m. This device features a single front facing camera. It is 32MP. It performs greatly and it has great capabilities.
There are some changes from the P30 Pro. The screen on the P30 is flat, 6.1″ FHD+ OLED and protected with CGG6. It comes with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. The battery is 3650mAh.
