What to do the first time you use your Air Fryer?
Air fryers are just like any other manufactured product, they come with the packaging materials, stickers, and labels. So, your job here is to remove all these things and clean all the removable parts, such as basket and pan with hot water and soap and make sure that your using a non-abrasive sponge. And the wipe the inside and outside of the appliance with a clean cloth.
If the basket and pan aren’t inserted properly, this may result in a no power in the unite. So make sure to reinsert them again. And the easiest and convenient way to do that for all GoWISE Air fryers (excluding the Turbo GW22641/GW22642), is to make sure that the rim of the pan is lined on with the track inside of the unit, and you are lifting the handle up as you push the pan in straight. The pan will not close if it is inserted at an angle. It especially helps to look at the track (at eye-level) when inserting the pan.
And to avoid any troubleshooting cases: Water helps the unit build up to pressure to properly pressurize, so make sure you have enough water in all of your recipes even if you have liquid in the unit. 2 cups of water per 1 cup of ingredients is recommended by the manufacture’s manual.
If there is steam releasing from the sides, it may result in E3 error but don’t worry! it’s a built-in system that protects your unite from different mistakes that may destroy it. And get out from that mode, it’s easy, just stop the cooking cycle, allow the unit to cool and remove your lid. When you remove your lid, remove your sealing ring and realign the sealing. If there is steam releasing from the regulator knob, make sure your knob is set to pressure. If that does not work, adjust your knob until there is no steam releasing.
Switching cooking presets and functions, can also result a E3 error. So, when using the browning or saute feature with pressure cooker, always make sure you wait between 5-10 minutes for the heating plate to cool down before selecting another preset. If you select another preset too soon, with out the unit cooling down, E3 will display.
How to stop the time on your Air Fryer?
You can always stop the time on your Air Fryer by Pressing the power button or “cancel” button, pull out your basket and pan, and push them back in. You can also do it by reducing the time to 0 manually, by pressing the (minus) time button.

What does E3 error code mean?
Getting down to the error code, the E3 is meaning for the overheating error code. When your unit does not have enough water in it or there is early steam release, the unit will go into an Error code and it will display the E3. To get rid of the E3, you want to unplug the unit and let it cool down. Once the unit has cooled down, you can plug it back in and the error code will go away.
