Samsung Is Reportedly Set To Launch Galaxy Z Fold 5 And Flip 5 In July, A Month Early

Samsung is said to be gearing up for an early launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, as the foldable market continues to heat up. Sources suggest that these devices could hit the market towards the end of July.

According to a report by SamMobile, Samsung is getting ready to host an Unpacked event in the last week of July 2023, with the event possibly taking place between July 25 and 27. Although these dates align with Samsung’s typical launch event schedule, the early timing of the event is what stands out.

In 2022, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 at an event on August 10, which was more than two weeks later than the rumored date for the 2023 event. The devices were then released and began shipping by the end of that same month.

Samsung’s decision to hold its Unpacked event in July is likely a response to increasing competition in the foldable smartphone market. Google is set to launch the Pixel Fold next month and OnePlus is planning to release its first foldable in Q3 of this year. By releasing the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 in July, Samsung can stay ahead of its competitors and avoid being overshadowed by their launches.

Samsung is expected to unveil several new devices at its next Unpacked event, including an upgraded Galaxy Watch 6 with a new chip, a new series of Galaxy Tab S9 tablets, new earbuds, and a sequel to its Galaxy SmartTag tracker.

Typically, Samsung announces new products in the middle of the week, so it’s safe to assume that the event may take place between July 25-27. As always, we’ll keep a close eye on any updates about Samsung’s plans for the next Galaxy Unpacked event and the possible release dates for the products that will be unveiled.
