According to insider sources speaking to 9to5Google, the highly anticipated Pixel Watch 2 could address one of the major complaints from its predecessor by incorporating a new Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 chip. The original Pixel Watch relied on Samsung’s Exynos 9110, which dates back to 2018. The switch to a newer Snapdragon chip is expected to significantly enhance battery life, even without a significantly larger battery capacity. Sources claim the Pixel Watch 2 can reportedly last over a day with the always-on display enabled, an improvement over its predecessor.
In addition to the improved chip, the Pixel Watch 2 is said to feature the same health sensors found in the Fitbit Sense 2. This could introduce new capabilities for measuring stress levels through electrodermal activity and monitoring skin temperature.
