EASY CROCKPOT MEATLOAF

Hi everyone, today we’re going to make an easy crockpot meatloaf. instead of baking it in the oven, I’m gonna use my lovely magical tool in the kitchen 🙂 and guess what it is? .. Yes, it’s the crockpot ;). And in order to get it as perfect as you want, you shouldn’t use a lot of fresh ingredients.

Because if you add a lot of those fresh veggies, like peppers and fresh onions and stuff, all the moistures will get released into the crockpot and everything is gonna start to boil and that’s going to look like a kind of a sloppy mess. That’s one of the biggest problems I’ve seen with crockpot meatloaves, but I promise you won’t have that big sloppy mess that you get all around the outside if you follow this recipe instead. so let’s go through the ingredients :).

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage
  • 1-1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 2 teaspoons dried minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 ) Start by cutting two 25×3-inches of heavy-duty foil strips, and crisscross them so they resemble an X. Then place them on the bottom and up sides of a 5-qt. slow cooker.

2 ) Coat strips with cooking spray. Combine the first 6 ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into a round loaf; place in the center of strips in the slow cooker.

3 ) Cook, covered until a thermometer reads at least 160°, 5-6 hours. In a small bowl, whisk ketchup, brown sugar, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Spoon over meatloaf.

4 ) Cook until heated through, about 15 minutes longer. Using foil strips as handles, remove meatloaf to a platter. Let stand 10-15 minutes before slicing.
