GARLIC STEAK AND POTATO FOIL PACKS

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 ) In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil, butter, potatoes, garlic, rosemary, and oregano for about 3 minutes, stir, and cook for another 3 minutes or until tender. Remove and set aside on a plate.

2 ) Heat the skillet over high heat and add steaks. Cook on each side for 3 minutes, until the outside is toasted. Reduce heat to medium-high and continue cooking as desired.

Garlic Butter Instructions:

1 ) Combine oregano, thyme, rosemary, garlic and softened butter and mix them them together.

3 ) Put some on the steaks and add the potatoes. Reheat and let the butter melt in the steaks before serving.

NOTES:

Be sure to cut your steak into pieces that are at least 2×2 inches, and potatoes into pieces smaller than one inch. This ensures even cooking.

For medium doneness on the steak, boil the potatoes first for five minutes before adding to the bowl and proceeding with the rest of the recipe. This will help them to cook faster once in the foil pack.

If you prefer a char on your steak, you can open up the packets at the end and cook for a couple minutes directly on the grill, or for baking you can switch oven to broil for a few minutes (with packets opened).
